Which B1 German exam should I take for permanent residence?

All four are accepted at the Ausländerbehörde and for citizenship: Goethe-Zertifikat B1 (about €200), telc Deutsch B1 (about €180, the most widely available), the DTZ (€25, the cheapest, taken at the end of an Integrationskurs) and ÖSD B1 (about €160). Pick on cost and dates, not prestige: they carry the same weight. The certificate does not expire for immigration purposes, so take it when you are ready.
